The Problem

Copi (pronounced like "copy") is a mobile-first productivity app that combines:

Folder-based organization that adapts to PARA or any method you prefer

Google Calendar sync so your schedule and tasks work together

Why Most Productivity Apps Fall Short

We interviewed hundreds of professionals about their productivity setup. The results were frustrating:

Our Approach: Subtraction as Strategy

Instead of asking "what features should we add?" we asked "what can we remove?" Every feature had to justify its existence by saving more time than it costs in attention.

The Core Loop

We identified the core productivity loop:

Everything beyond this loop was cut. No collaboration features. No project hierarchies. No templates. No AI writing assistants. No browser extensions.

Speed as a Feature

We set a hard target: every interaction must complete in under 100ms. If it takes longer, we redesign it.

This constraint forced simplicity in the best way. Every animation was shortened. Every transition was removed. Every screen was stripped to essentials.

Calm by Design

No red notification badges. No urgent sounds. No "you are behind" guilt trips.

Copi respects your attention rather than demanding it. Reminders are gentle nudges, not alarm bells. The app is there when you need it, silent when you don't.
